Food , environment and neurotoxins (1)

Food is a mixture of proteins, carbohydrates, fats and water. It also may contain vitamins and minerals. Usually food components have a vegetarian or animal origin. However there are many food supplements having artificial origin (sweeteners, colors, artificial flavoring components). During cultivation vegetarian food products may become contaminated with some chemicals being used as fertilizers or pesticides. Processing procedures such as cooking, frying, pasteurizing, etc. food may get additional harmful substances (coloring, artificial flavoring and preserving components). Thus our every day’s food potentially contains harmful chemicals-toxins.

Environment where we live day by day becomes more polluted. Every day tons of potentially dangerous for our health chemicals are being thrown into the rivers, lakes, seas and ocean basins. According to the statement of the National Research Council, about 70,000 chemicals in commercial use today have not been tested whether they have toxic effects.
