How to avoid work-at-home scams?

Working from home is a dream for most of us and can be the solution for our problems. However it’s not easy to find a legitimate work-at-home  from millions of  opportunities . Not every online opportunity is trustworthy. You should be very careful and have to watch out for the scams. How to catch the signs of scam? Here are some tips to help you protect yourself from being scammed.

Avoid those online opportunities, where “employer” is requesting too much personal information, including full address, DOB, SSN, Credit Card information.

Don't trust those “employers” who are  asking to pay before getting the position. You have to make  a background  check prior to taking your credit card out of your pocket.

Make sure you found a legitimate company. Before giving away your personal information, first, call their customer service if they have one and speak with people out there.

Ask them for names or contact information of other employees to get more insight into which this company is. Also you can use some special websites such as ScamBusters.org or Better Business Bureau to check if the company is legitimate.

The sales letters usually have such a powerful psychological effect that many people can believe in such a thing like “one can make $5,000 a week using this automated system starting right now”. Don’t be naive. Use your common sense. This is the way to avoid the nonsense and find a legitimate business.
